September 01 Red Hat Halloween PartyYes, it's getting near that time......HALLOWEEN.
it just happens to be one of my favorite celebrations! I am hosting a 300 person halloween party for Red Hat Society chapters in Maryland. As if we don't dress up enough.....but hey.....this is the time to really get outlandish!

August 09 Red hatters are crazy...and I'm one of themRed Hatters really are crazy. Some women age gracefully and others just age. When I was younger I avoided any clubs that were strictly for women because of a woman's personality that includes gossip, being "catty", and jealousy. I found that men were so much more agreeable.
As I got older, I found great traits in older women and the older I get, the more I can relate to these women. Does that mean that as women age, they become nicer? I don't know. I've always been nice.
Unfortunately even being the queen of a red hat chapter, I still find some women to hold those same traits that I avoided years ago. But I am finding also that more women are likable than they were years ago. Jealousy isn't as prevalent, keeping up with the "jones" isn't such a mile marker, and problems with our children seem to be much less.
So, to celebrate the fact that I find older women to be more likable, I bought myself a new hat....and here it is...my Vegas Review Hat.

I am Donna, Queen Bat of Belfry and my chapter is the Absolutely Batty Hatties, an official chapter of the Red hat Society. We have 48 members in our chapter and have been growing strong for two years now.
Our annual Walk for the Cure in Annapolis is coming up in May and I hope we have twice the number of ladies for our parade. Last year we had over 350 Red Hatters parading in Annapolis and we raised over $2,000 just asking for donations. The money went to breast cancer awareness and care of patients.
